いやー、このリストを見てどうしろと。結局、ニッケルが入ってる化合物は全部なんでしょ。Entry18のMercury compoundsは化合物の例示がありません。別にそれでもいいと思うんだけどな。

これみてもうんざりするだけだし、ここに書いていないニッケル化合物も対象なんだし(まあ、商用には使われてないのかもしれませんが)と管理人なんかは思ってしまいます。

Entry27 の危険性は何か

これも個々の化合物をいちいち確認していたら、まとめ論文書けそうですので代表してNickel(Ni)だけを見ていきます。

ECHAのSubstance Infocardによれば、Nickel(CAS RN 7440-02-0, EC No.231-111-4)は、REACH登録において企業がECHAに提供した分類によると、長期または反復暴露により臓器に損傷を与える、吸入により癌を引き起こす、水生生物に有毒で長期的影響がある、生殖能力を損なう、遺伝子異常を引き起こす疑いがある、癌を引き起こす疑いがある、アレルギー性の皮膚反応を引き起こす、吸入するとアレルギーまたは喘息症状や呼吸困難を引き起こす可能性があると報告されています。

少なくとも1社は、不純物や添加物によって物質分類が影響を受けると指摘しています。

この物質は、欧州連合によって承認されたいくつかの調和的分類および表示(CLH)の項目でカバーされています。異なるCLHのエントリーを区別するためには、手作業による検証が必要です。CLHの詳細については、C&Lインベントリーをみてください。

Entry27はどこに使われているのか

ECHAのSubstance Infocardによれば、NickelはEU域内で100,000トン以上製造輸入されています。

どこに使われるかは、非常に広い範囲が書かれています。

消費者製品でも、専門の作業者でも、事業場でも使用されます。

主な用途としては、金属(ステンレスなどがありますね)、金属表面処理製品、溶接・はんだ付け製品、pH 調整剤および水処理製品やほかの物質への中間体としても使用されます。

制限条件

Entry27のNickel and its compoundsの制限条件は、以下の通りです。

  1. 以下の場合使用してはならない。
    (a) ピアスやその他の人体に穴をあけた部分に挿入されるポストアセンブリで、そのポストアセンブリからのニッケル放出速度が 0.2μg/cm²/week (移動限界)未満でないもの。
    (b) 皮膚と直接かつ長時間接触することを意図した以下のような物品
    ーイヤリング
    ーネックレス、ブレスレット、チェーン、アンクレット、指輪
    ー腕時計のケース、バンド、止め具
    ーリベットボタン、締め具、リベット、ファスナー、メタルマークが衣料品に使用されている場合

    であって皮膚に直接かつ長時間接触するこれらの成形品の部品からのニッケル溶出率が 0.5μg/cm²/week より大きい場合。

    (c) (b)の成形品に非ニッケルコーティングが施されている場合、そのコーティングが、成形品の通常の使用において少なくとも2年間、皮膚と直接かつ長時間接触する部分からのニッケル放出率が0.5μg/cm2/週を超えないことを保証するのに十分でない場合。
  2. 第1項の対象となる成形品は、同項に定める要件に適合しない限り、上市してはならない。
  3. 成形品が第 1 項と第 2 項に適合していることを示す試験方法として、欧州標準化委員会 (CEN)が採択した規格を使用しなければならない。
